World’s most expensive beauty treatments – are they any better than DIY remedies?

We all want Kim Kardashian’s body, Hailey Bieber’s skin, and Jennifer Lopez’s agelessness. Let us find out what it takes to get there – celebrities have time and again shown off the different beauty treatments they indulge in. But how pocket-friendly is it? Is it better than our good old homemade papaya mask or the infamous sugar and honey scrub? Take a look at the most expensive beauty treatments under the sun.

Vampire Facial

The queen bee, Kim Kardashian, was among the first ones who were spotted getting the $1,500 USD facial done on her already flawless skin. The technical name of the facial is Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. The most surprising part is that one of its ingredients is human blood – yikes! Well, it’s not as bad as it sounds when you learn they use the patient’s own blood. Platelets are basically blood ceils that repair damaged blood cells – so naturally, or perhaps quite unnaturally, these are injected into the person’s face to reduce wrinkles, pigmentation, and fine lines.

HD Diamond and Ruby Facial

The price of the facial goes well with the name – priced at a whopping $7,000, the facial uses literal rubies and diamonds during the procedure. The first thought that hit me was – wouldn’t diamond pierce through the skin is the hardest material on earth? Apparently, they’re crushed rubies and diamonds that are rubbed against the clients’ skin as they are believed to have antioxidant properties. As if that wasn’t enough, the treatment also includes a paraffin silk fiber mask and LED red light. The credit for this unique yet intriguing innovation goes to celebrity aesthetician Scott Vincent Borba. Apparently, Mila Kunis is a big fan.

This one’s going to blow your mind. Kelly Osborne got a manicure for 1 million dollars! While it’s hard to gather words after this revelation, here’s my two cents on the million-dollar manicure. The actor justified that the manicure wasn’t another one of her luxury indulgences but a matter of philanthropy as part of the proceeds were to go to some charities. Now we’re baffled as to what is more shocking – the price or the justification. But hey – her money, her wish. So, what do you think?

Evian Water Bath

Bathing in tap water is so old-school, visit the Miam’s Hotel to bathe in 350 gallons of Evian water, which is basically a solution from the limited edition collection of Christain Lacroix-designed bottles. The bath costs $6,000 USD but you know what’s the cherry on top? The hotel will arrange some rose petals for no additional cost if you opt for an Evian Water Bath blowing up $6,000. Come on, rich people are just mocking us at this point, aren’t they?
