If you have made these 7 Christmas mistakes then you are officially the Grinch

This is the season of celebrations and feasts. I am super excited for Christmas and I am pretty sure so are you but there is one person no one likes during the holidays. Do you know who that is? It’s the Grinch. Are you a Grinch? I’m sure you are thinking no way you are the Grinch but If you have made any of these mistakes during Christmas then you are secretly the Grinch.

A fabulous light decoration that doesn’t work

Whenever I think of Christmas the first things that come to my mind are Christmas trees and beautiful light decorations. But the worst thing you can do is hang up Christmas lights without checking them. Always check your light if they work. Also, look out for any frayed Wires, or cracked sockets. Also when you are buying the lights, always make sure you have the correct kind. At the store, you can check if the lights are meant for indoor or outdoor use. So, don’t be a Grinch and check the lights properly before hanging them up.

Don’t kill your Christmas tree

As I said, one of the first things that I think of when I imagine Christmas is the Christmas tree. So make sure you don’t kill your Christmas tree. If you are using a real tree then you need to take care of it, real trees need watering almost every day. Make sure you keep an eye on your tree and your tree doesn’t turn brown. No one wants to look at a dried-up Christmas tree. So whatever happens don’t drop the ball when it comes to the Christmas tree.

Experiment beforehand

Whenever we plan a Christmas party we want to blow our guest’s minds with an amazing dish that they have never tried before. So I can understand the urge of experimenting with some ingredients to make something great but the biggest mistake you can make is to do the experiment on the day of Christmas. Make it before so you know if your experiment is a hit or a miss. Trust me you don't serve something that tastes terrible or worse get your guests sick with your new experiment.

Plumbing is no joke

If you are hosting a moderate number of guests then make sure you have a working toilet or there is no problem with your plumbing. If you already have plumbing issues then it is more important to get everything checked out by a plumber before the party. Also, make sure all your bathrooms have plungers. If your bathroom doesn't have a plunger I know you are the Grinch.

Don’t create a death trap

Be very organized with your wires when you are setting everything up. The last thing you want is a tangled mess of power strips and extension cords. Make sure you do not overload the circuits and cause a power outage. At the party, you may have kids and they will run and play around so make sure your wires are not a tripping hazard. You don’t want to injure the kids on Christmas.

Be prepared for surprise guests

No one wants to be alone on Christmas. So if someone decides to make a surprise visit make sure you are prepared for them. What can be better than spreading your goodwill to others on Christmas? So whenever you are planning a Christmas party always make sure you have extra food and seating ready. The more the Merrier right?

Keep an eye on the weather

No one can really predict the weather so you have to do everything from your end to stay prepared. And if you live in a cold state then you definitely need to be prepared. If you get hit by a blizzard or snowstorm then your guests might need to spend the night. So make sure you have all you need to keep them comfortable. Also, the driveway or the walkway can get slippery so make sure you take care of that as well. If you leave out your driveway slippery then you are definitely the Grinch and you want your guests to slip and ruin their Christmas.

So if you overlook these things while planning for Christmas then you are definitely the Grinch. Comment down below if you are the Grinch.
