The Bachelorette season 19 finale crashes and burns!

That was not the case with Rachel Recchia as she was all set to get engaged but do you remember when I compared the episode to a plane crash? Well, let me tell you when the plane did a nose dive. For me, it began right when host Jesse Palmer said “ maybe tonight, Tino can convince Rachel that his indiscretions were just a momentary lapse in judgment.” I was left wondering about what lapse of judgment I missed throughout the season.

After a while of rocky flight, we come to the part of the journey where Tino was proposing to Rachel. With how the finale started I knew that it wouldn’t go well but I really did not see what was going to happen. Rachel went on to talk about some of the rocky moments they had during their long-distance engagement. Rachel brought up one of their weekends together where Tino kept bringing up past relationships when their current relationship is not going very well. If any men are reading this article, a very important piece of information for you, don’t bring up your failed relationships when you are having trouble in your current one. But the piece of information that made me believe this relationship is not going to work was Toni kissing another woman and not telling Rachel until they had spent an entire weekend together. Now that would have been a deal breaker for me right there and then.

The Bachelorette never surprises me in putting me through situations that are uncomfortable like no other. The first hour was really painful to watch but thank god in the second hour the show got into a lighter mood. In the second hour, Gabby and Erich finally get engaged and then began a long lovey-dovey speech which in my opinion was the best part of the three-hour-long finale. Erich also addresses a few things that needed to be addressed like how he used coming to the show as an excuse to break up with his girlfriend. Ohh Gabby’s knight in shining armour, but at least he accepts that was a cowardly move.

We still had a lot of time on our hands before the finale wrapped up so it was time for the announcement no one expected, Zach Shallcross is to be the next Bachelor. So Zach finished third in the 19th season of The Bachelorette. As you would have guessed I love Zach’s personality and I'm ecstatic to write about him. But enough about the dashing Zach let’s go back to Rachel who was clearly ready to get engaged but now she is heartbroken. Well not for long, Aven James who is the runner-up of The Bachelorette season 13 seizes the moment and proposes to Rachel. And something that no one ever expected, Rachel said yes! Well, I guess now Rachel and Aven are engaged.

This was one of the most painful and obvious season finales in the history of The Bachelorette. But what did you think of the finale comment down below?
