Three Easy Recipes you must try on Halloween 2021!

Happy Halloween! Planning a Halloween get-together with friends and family? Don’t let your party be limited to spooky decorations, take it to the next level with these easy-to-make Halloween snacks to scare the bejeezus out of your guests. After all, you don’t want the leftover trick-or-treat candies to be the only thing your guests eat. You can tell us how you were hailed as the party pariah the next day down in the comments.

                          1. CHOCOLATE GRAVE BOWL



Cooking time: 45 mins

List of Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 1\4 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 200g chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
  2. Lightly grease an 8x12 inch baking pan with cooking oil. Line with baking paper; set aside.
  3. Combine melted butter, oil and sugars together in a medium-sized bowl. Whisk well to combine and add the eggs, vanilla; beat until lighter in colour.
  4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder ad salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients well.
  5. Fold in 3/4 of the chocolate pieces.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top out evenly, and top with remaining chocolate pieces.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes for just under-done brownies or until the centre of the brownies no longer jiggles.
  8. After 15 minutes, carefully mash the brownies with a spoon and add them to a bowl. Add in chocolate if required and Enjoy!
  9. To decorate, cut a black or grey coloured sheet round and place it at one end of the bowl.

 

                       2. FREAKY FRANKENSTEIN TOAST



 

Cooking time: 45 mins (including prep time)

List of Ingredients:

  • 2 large potatoes peeled and mashed
  • 2 green chilies, a handful of cilantro, 1-inch ginger, 3 garlic pods, 2 tsp lime juice, salt - ground into a fine paste with half a cup water
  • 1 medium beetroot peeled and shredded
  • Ketchup
  • Salt and pepper
  • Butter
  • 3 slices bread

Directions:

  1. Mix half the paste into the mashed potatoes.
  2. Toast the bread and spread some butter and ketchup. Spread the mashed potatoes on the bread.
  3. Place the shredded beetroot and arrange it as Frankenstein’s hair, eyes, and mouth. (You can always replace beetroot with black olives)
  4. Slice 3 small, thin rounds of the beetroot to make the eyes and mouth.
  5. Top it with oregano and chili flakes (if required). Serve and enjoy!

 

                                 3. BLOODSHOT MARY



Cooking time: 15 minutes

List of Ingredients:

  • Strawberry syrup
  • Sugar
  • Ice cubes
  • Half-cut lemon

Direction:

  1. Rub the lemon slice at the edge of the glass and dip it in sugar. Keep it aside.
  2. Add the strawberry syrup with water and pour it into the glass.
  3. Add 1-2 ice cubes to keep it chill. Serve and enjoy it cold!
