Leslie Jordan to return for one final role!

He was there to support many emotionally when we needed someone the most. When Covid-19 hit the country most of us went back to our families and Leslie Jordan did the same. Leslie was sitting out the pandemic in Tennessee with his family. That’s when he started to post some funny moments of his life on Instagram. Nothing complicated, his videos were simple and funny. Simplicity definitely worked for him and his Insta following ballooned into millions. Before passing away his Insta handle had 6 million Insta followers. I do not think even he thought he would get Insta famous at the age of 65.  

I do not think he knew he would become a comforter for so many fans but his fans let him know what he has done for them. In one interview he shared a similar story. One of his fans saw him on the street, pulled him aside, and said “Listen, I don’t want to bother you, but I’ve had a rough go. I’ve been locked down. I’ve got kids, and I looked forward to your posts and you really, really helped me through this time.” Moments like these make me realize how precious a comedian is to our society. The ability to spread joy and laughter is like a superpower, and for many Leslie, Jordan was nothing short of a superhero. 

But this is not the end yet, Leslie Jordan will be back on the silver screen one last time with his last film. Leslie Jordan’s very last film is in post-production. Leslie Jordan’s last film is written and directed by Tracy Pellegrino. The film's name is “Strangers in a Strange Land”, and it is a small independent film. We know more details about the film like the story focuses on foreigners living around the world and some hilarious situations. Leslie plays a southerner living in Los Angeles and he is trying to give directions to a Russian man. I have no doubt it will be hilarious. 

The film has been shot for quite a long time and Leslie shot his part back in 2017. The film is being shot around the world in cities like Paris, Cannes, Rome, Düsseldorf, New York, London, and Los Angeles. But sadly we still do not have any release date, so we can only wait.
